مفهوم التعليم الالكتروني

التعريف في المصادر العربية :

§ التعليم الالكتروني هو التعليم الذي يهدف إلى إيجاد بيئة تفاعلية غنية بالتطبيقات المعتمدة على تقنيات الحاسب الآلي والشبكة العالمية للمعلومات ، وتمكّن الطالب من الوصول إلى مصادر التعلم في أي وقت ومن أي مكان . ( العويد وحامد ، 1424هـ)
§ طريقة للتعليم باستخدام آليات الاتصال الحديثة من حاسب وشبكاته ووسائطه المتعددة من صوت وصورة ، ورسومات وآليات بحث ، ومكتبات إلكترونية ، وكذلك بوابات الشبكة العالمية للمعلومات سواء كان من بعد أو في الفصل الدراسي ، فالمقصود هو استخدام التقنية بجميع أنواعها في إيصال المعلومة للمتعلم بأقصر وقت وأقل جهد وأكبر فائدة . § تقديم المحتوى التعليمي مع ما يضمنه من شروحات وتمارين وتفاعل ومتابعة بصورة جزئية أو شاملة في الفصل أو من بعد بواسطة برامج متقدمة مخزنة في الحاسب أو عبر الشبكة العالمية للمعلومات . ( العريفي ، 1424 هـ )
§ هو توسيع مفهوم عملية التعليم والتعلم للتجاوز حدود الفصول التقليدية والانطلاق لبيئة غنية متعددة المصادر ، يكون لتقنيات التعليم التفاعلي من بعد دورا أساسيا فيها بحيث تعاد صياغة دور كل من المعلم والمتعلم ( الراشد ، 1424هـ )
§ هو نظام تعليمي يستخدم تقنيات المعلومات وشبكات الحاسب الآلي في تدعيم وتوسيع نطاق العملية التعليمية من خلال مجموعة من الوسائل منها : أجهز الحاسب الآلي ، الشبكة العالمية للمعلومات والبرامج الإلكترونية المعدّة إما من قبل المختصين في الوزارة أو الشركات ( غلوم ، 1424هـ )
§ هو التعلم باستخدام الحاسبات الآلية وبرمجياتها المختلفة سواء على شبكات مغلقة أو شبكات مشتركة أو الشبكة العالمية للمعلومات ( الغراب ، 2003م )
§ التعليم الإلكتروني هو أسلوب من أساليب التعلم في إيصال المعلومة للمتعلم يعتمد على التقنيات الحديثة للحاسب والشبكة العالمية للمعلومات ووسائطهما المتعددة ، مثل : الأقراص المدمجة ، والبرمجيات التعليمية ، والبريد الالكتروني وساحات الحوار والنقاش . ( المبارك ، 1424 هـ )

ب. التعريف في المصادر الأجنبية : ( اللغة الانجليزية ) :

§ Quite simply, e-learning is simply learning that occurs at the computer. In this day and age, this generally means over the Internet, with the information delivered via a browser, like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape Navigator, etc. Some may expand this definition to include any electronically delivered learning material - such as video or audio based learning. The definition of e-learning may need to come from looking at a course at a holistic level, rather than looking at the individual elements, like a video or a PowerPoint presentation. § Educational processes that utilize information and communications technology to mediate asynchronous as well as synchronous learning and teaching activities. The term e-learning comprises a lot more than online learning, virtual learning, distributed learning, networked or web-based learning. As the letter “e” in e-learning stands for the word “electronic”, e-learning would incorporate all educational activities that are carried out by individuals or groups working online or offline, and synchronously or asynchronously via networked or standalone computers and other electronic devices (SOM NAIDU, 2006)
§ e-Learning is the currently fashionable term used to describe the diverse use of information and communications technologies to support and enhance learning, teaching and assessment – from resource based learning (in which students carry out face-to-face tasks supplemented by a range of online resources) to fully online courses. The LTSN Generic Centre (2002) define e-learning as .learning facilitated and supported through the use of information and communication technologies.. The Association for Learning Technology (ALT) state that .learning technology makes use of a range of communication and information technologies to support learning and provide learning resources. ALT believes that learning technology adds value to both the efficiency, and the effectiveness, of the learning process). Allison Littlejohn and Carol Higgison,2003)
§ The use of technology to manage, design, deliver, select, transact, coach, support and extend learning (of all kinds)"( Elliot Masie, The Masie Centre)
§ "Any learning , training or education that is facilitated by the use of well-known and proven computer technologies, specifically networks based on Internet technology." Use of internet technologies means that learning content is stored on a Web server and that learners access the content by using well-known and widely used network technologies such as Web browsers and the TCP-IP network protocol.(Carol Fallon, Sharon Brown,2003)

§ يرى وليم هورتون أن مصطلح التعليم الالكتروني مازال من المصطلحات غير المتفق على تحديد مفهوم محدد لها ، لذلك فهو يعرفه بطريقة انعكاسية على الشكل التالي :
There is considerable disagreement about the nature of e-learning and where that term should be applied . Proponents and e-learning seem to use the term to suit their positions. Suppliers slap it on products with illogical abandon . For example , here is s list of things that e-learning is not : 1- It is not just Web-casting lectures.
2- It is not training materials dumped online.
3- It is not limited to formal courses.
4- It is not computers teaching people.

§ e-Learning can be defined as 'learning facilitated and supported through the use of information and communications technology'. It can cover a spectrum of activities from the use of technology to support learning as part of a ‘blended’ approach (a combination of traditional and e-learning approaches), to learning that is delivered entirely online. Whatever the technology, however, learning is the vital element.
